[[Colonel Lionel Barker sits in his makeshift brig cell, reading something on a tablet. Off-panel, someone clears their throat, drawing his attention.]]

Barker: [With a smirk] Ah, Mr. Wellington. What an unexpectedly pleasant surprise. Has my good behavior finally been noticed?
Nick: [With deadpan sarcasm] Of course. We both know how horribly mistreated you are.

Barker: Indeed. Do you know why I never retired? I couldn't stand the tedious boredom of doing nothing but sitting on my posterior all day. [He gestures with the tablet.] Reading Grey data logs is ever so dull.

[[Barker leans forward, drawing himself slightly closer to the invisible force field that separates them.]]
Barker: But that's not why you are here, now is it.
Nick: No, I'm here to ask for your help.
